This is the perfect backpack for those who take epic MTB rides.

Use it everyday and has never let me down

I work as a park ranger and I’m stuck out on eight hour shifts with no water access…3L is amazing. Then back ventilation design is amazing. I like the model because its light weight and not as bulky as a regular backpack. Great for biking as well, never in the way and has good pocket designs to fit anything I need. Buy this

Blaze orange Camelbak, hunting, fishing, hiking, or a night out on the town, goes with Mauve and will make your butt look small!

Sturdy Camelbak as usual, nice padding on the side that will be touching your back. Straps fit well, I am not a small guy by any means and this fits well. I am 6’0″ and 280 lbs. Probably looks like I am wearing an orange tic tac, but it does what I need it to. The zippers are sturdy, and the fobs are strong they don’t appear to be cheap material. There are 4 pockets, the two closest to the back are the deep pockets, and the two visible in the picture are smaller, the upper of which is a good key pocket, the lower a personal effects pocket, which also has a key clip inside and another zippered pouch if I remember correctly. One added feature is a sort of open pocket in between the 2 sets of pockets. That is held together by the clips that are visible in the picture as well. The pocket travels the full length of the bag, and allows you to carry additional “whatever you want” in there. Fits a large 40 oz hydro flask, but keep in mind the more things you stuff in there the less fits in the zippered pockets. (Side note, I do not use the Camelbak bladder on this one, I removed it to fit more crap in the bag) I have several other Camelbaks that I do use the bladder with when I paddle outrigger canoe, but this one is a dry land bag for me, and the hydro flask just holds water and ice way longer and more secure with less sweating of the bag. The orange is what made me buy another Camelbak despite already owning 6 or 7, the hunting regulations here require full blaze orange bags if you are walking/hiking through a hunting area. It took Camelbak a long time to finally make one, so I pulled the trigger so to speak. I don’t know what color “poppy” is, but I would call this blaze orange or neon orange.

Wonderful addition to my hiking gear!

I had a Sierra bladder and backpak and it absolutely leaked from the nozzle and I could tell it was cheap equipment. It was a gift so I didn’t complain. The thought was what counted. But….I always do my research before making rather important purchases and I decided to go with the Camelbak MULE Hydration pak with a 3 liter bladder included. Three days later I took it for a spin on a five mile hike in the desert where I live. I also purchased the accessory, Camelback bite valve cover to go with it. Both purchases were worth every cent! Before leaving the house I tested it every which way I could to see if it would leak. I twisted the nozzle around, opened and closed the bite valve numerous times, hung it upside down, squeezed it. Nada! I walked out the door and until the moment I returned a couple of hours later, it performed like a champ. I discovered that without having to hold a couple of liters in a bottle that you have to hand hold, hiking is much better and less tiring. There’s a hook clamp on the shoulder strap for the drinking tube and all that is needed is to unclamp it without any effort and to simply push it back under the hook after your sip. I have heard of the bladders in some, regardless of make or model of developing leaks along the seams but I think that will happen after wear and tear. I would most definitely refer anyone who are avid hikers or simply those who take a short walk every day to purchase one of these and cease having to hold your water bottle for the entire time. You will not regret it.

Great Hydro Pack

The features I particularly like about this backpack are:

I have found my back pack!

I have found my back pack. I ride longer mountain bike distances and need both ample hydration and storage for tools, tubes, pumps and lunch! Not to mention a place to put the wallet, keys, cell phone and an extra layer or two when not needed, This CamelBak MULE does all that in a remarkably light and durable package. Don’t get me wrong… add all that stuff and you’ll be lugging some weight. But that’s your choice and a matter of preference… take everything you might possibly need or want on the trail in this pack, attach some things to the bike, or leave something back at camp / the car and risk not having it when you need it the most.

Dancing in the Desert

I bought this for massive music festivals. I’ve been to two with this CamelBak and I am increasingly more relived that I made this purchase. The CamelBak is excellent, it works as advertised and the water capacity is perfect for long nights dancing at the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. Additionally there is a surprising amount of storage space, great for keys, wallet, Camera, tickets, and other music festival essentials! My CamelBak and my Rechargeable battery back-up where the two most important items I brought to the desert. I purchased this and another smaller Camelbak for my friend and now they both are vital to our festival experiences. I highly recommend this regardless if you are biking, camping, or going to massive raves, this is the best product out there.

One of the best Camelbak’s out there

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I have used this so far. It has a huge bladder, which usually lasts me most of my day hikes. The storage space inside of it as well is awesome, I fit a ton of survival items inside, flashlight, matches, compass, knife, utensils, first aid kit, water purification tablets, and more, and I still have a ton of room for a small towel, my day hike book for the area, some food, and even an extra bladder. It takes a beating and is still in great shape. I highly recommend this for anyone that hikes at all, it makes things so simple.

Great Drinking Systems with Plenty of Storage Capacity

I purchased this item to use on a recent trip to Honduras. Loved it’s functionality (storage capacity and water system). Fit’s very well and kept the water cold throughout our incursions into the mountains and rural areas. The water capacity was perfect for a full-day hike and the wealth of storage capacity made it possible to carry the things I needed for the hikes and leave my heavier backpack behind.
