Great step down in firmness compared to lacrosse ball for massage purposes, and a strange odor.

 on July 18, 2016
By Anthony T
I ordered these specifically for massage/myofascial release for my TFL, glutes, and QL, as they are incredibly tight these days. Paired up with a foam roll routine and stretch routine I feel much better for the day. Anyway I really like this product and think the firmness of each ball is a nice grade in comparison to a lacrosse ball. Anything softer and I doubt it would make any sort of impact. However, as others have mentioned, there is a horrible smell that emits from these when you open the can up. I’m really not sure what the smell is and hopefully I can get a response back from Penn to get a heads up on what it is.

Standard tennis ball, but they’re pink

 on November 27, 2016

Standard tennis ball. At this price I knew I wasn’t getting the highest quality, but that’s not what I was looking for. I use these tennis balls to throw in the yard for my dog. They’ve stood up to her chomping on them, so no complaints here. The only note I’ll make is they did not come in the standard yellow/green, but rather pink. Perhaps I missed this when purchasing them, but I didn’t see anywhere that indicated the color would be different.

As an Amazon add on item, the price is right ~

$2.47 with Free Prime shipping when placed as an add on item. That makes them about the same, or even a little less than I can find them at Dick’s, Sports Authority, and other stores. And I don’t have to go shopping at the terror that is the mall to get to Dick’s.

My dogs say these are the best things ever

My dogs say these are the best things ever! Until they get lost under the couch, that is, but that’s a story for another day…

Not what I had hoped for

I’m trying to learn how to play tennis, and wanted some really good ball that had a good bounce. I read all the good reviews and thought I had found them, not so. They were better than the off brand I had, but didn’t live up to my expectation. I know what a good ball should look like because when I’m practicing at the park there are people giving lessons and the ball that they have are much better. I think the next time I see them doing practice I will ask what kind of ball they have before I buy any more.

Great for stress relief…

 on December 28, 2013
By Vivilicious
Bought these as stress relievers after reading online that squeezing tennis balls may help lower blood pressure. I don’t have high blood pressure but have a demanding job and I swear by these balls. They are firm but not so much that can’t give a good squeeze when I’m stressed. I put a ball in each hand, hold my arms out at my sides, then simultaneously squeeze hard and say a cuss word. As I hold the grip, I can feel all the tension immediately leave my center and seem to drain through my hands to the balls. My entire being feels relaxed and refreshed. I keep two at home and two at work, and even gifted them to stressed out co-workers for Christmas (the look on their faces before I explained the meaning behind the gift–priceless). Pretty sure these are great for tennis too.

Ball bounce but terrible chemical odor even after multiple washings.

Terrible smell after three days. Washed several times in the washing machine but smell persists. Made in China. Balls bounce but smell is a terrible chemical odor. Perhaps the odor will dissipate eventually. Next time I will try another brand. No recommendation pro or con.

Needed for a walker after my hip replacement surgery; they did the job!

Not playing tennis with them.

Great quality for hanging from the garage ceiling to indicate when my truck is clear of the door. Plus, I have two spares to throw for the neighbors dog. LOL
