For ball machine users it makes a big difference !

For the serious tennis player who likes to practice with a ball machine, the most laborious and least desirable activity is lugging the ball hopper to pick up balls. The hopper gets heavier and heavier and strains your am and shoulder.

Portable, light, effective. Great tool on the court.

This is such a simple design but a great tool on the court. We also have a larger ball basket but we still take this to the court whenever we go. It’s very light and makes picking up its 18 ball capacity simple and quick. It’s got a nice little hook to hang it on the fence and the shoulder strap is adjustable. We have found that the rubber band used as a removable stopper on the one end has loosened a lot but it still does the job of holding the balls in when in the car. I know these are sold in other colors but I really like the transparent tube so it’s easy to see how full it is. The big ball basket we have is a bit too cumbersome for my 12 year old daughter to drag around but she can easily pick up balls with this Gamma Hopper and do her share of picking up the balls. Great product and worth more than it costs.

My husband uses these ball hoppers for work. They are better quality than other ones we have purchased in the past. They work great for not having to bend down to pick up the tennis balls.

Should have ordered two.

I like this product. It is clear plastic so you can see the balls. I recommend this product. Ships in it’s own box. It has one star crack and another small crack in it. That’s why I gave it a 4 star as it was damaged in shipping. It does it’s job. In a shipping review I noted this and took pictures. Amazon has not responded to this. I do not think a person sees or reads these reviews. I did not file for damages as it’s damages are slight and the product still useable.

Warped, but works

The tube came a little warped which required me to squeeze the end when emptying out the tennis balls. I tried putting clamps on the end for a couple of days in hopes of re-shaping it, but it just bounced back into it’s warped shape when I took the clamps off. Then I tried using a heat gun to gently warm up the end inside the rubber end-piece and then gently squeezing it, and that did the trick. Now it’s perfectly round and holds it’s shape. I’m not sure why other people said the strap is useless; it works fine, you just have to slide the buckle to give it enough slack to fit over your shoulder.

My daughter is taking tennis lessons and the parents are supposed to retrieve the balls. The instructor has a metal tennis ball pick up hopper which I found too heavy after carrying it around using using one arm. I also have a bad back and being on the court for over an hour and in the heat it was draining me. I ordered the balltube because I figured it would be easier to carry around on the court and be more light weight. It is easier to retrieve tennis balls than the metal hopper but I wish I ordered one that could hold a little more balls. I have to go clear across to where the instructor is to dump the balls in his cart more often now but there is less strain on my back.

The elastic for holding in the balls looks like it’s not going to last long

I haven’t used this much. It’s easier to use the basket to pick up the ball. With the tube you have to aim. with the basket you just bunch the balls together and press down. I have a bunch of red balls which is too big for this tube. Orange balls are ok. The elastic for holding in the balls looks like it’s not going to last long.

The best I’ve tried

It’s okay. Super neat concept and hangs on fence. Kid won’t use it. Too long for him and balls fall out quickly when squeezed

Very practical way to pick up tennis balls for smaller kids. A little tricky getting them out though.
