GAMMA Quick Kids 78 Balls are med/high compression (25% reduced speed), high bounce training tennis balls designed for kids moving from a 60' court to full court play. The lower bounce keeps the ball in front of the player providing more time to react and set up each shot for more consistency and control when learning. Quick Kids 78 Balls conform to the ITF Stage 1 specification.

I am a tennis Dad who has very little exposure to Tennis prior to my kids who started playing tennis. So my review might be pretty basic for those who are quiet familiar with tennis and the training methodologies.

These Stage 1 (a.k.a. green dot balls) tennis balls with Gamma’s name on them or OK. They are not as good as Wilson or Dunlop but they are significantly cheaper than many of the other brands. Quality and consistency is good. I haven’t found any discernable variation in any of the balls form Gamma.

Not only do our dogs love these, but so does the neighbor dog (she keeps swiping them, so I sent her a dozen of her own). Slightly larger and softer than regular tennis balls. I also like that the red stand out on the lawn – reducing lawnmower hits.

I almost didn’t order these balls because of some less than stellar reviews on their bounce quality. They are fine for practice.

Fantastic as dog toys

Our dogs are on the large side, and regular tennis balls are actually a bit of a choking hazard. The slightly larger size of these balls is perfect, and they’ve lasted far longer than expected with two malamute hybrids chewing on them. They’re heavy enough to get a good distance when thrown, but don’t bounce so much that they disappear into the bushes or down the street.

Slightly smaller than standard tennis balls.

I bought these for my dog (to fit in a Chuck It). Unfortunately, these are slightly smaller than standard size tennis balls. Therefore, they are a bit loose in the Chuck It). My dog likes soft balls (his favorites are Kong balls with the squeakers but he chews those up). I chose these because they are softer than regular balls but was disappointed that the size was a bit small. I will stick to the Wilson children’s tennis balls we bought previously which are also softer but are standard size.

Green Dots perfect for adult beginners!

The bucket of green dot balls lasted us about 4 months. We are beginner adult players, and started with the green dot to practice with. Nice speed and bounce for beginners. We wore them out after a Summer of playing several times a week. We recently purchased regular tennis balls, but have found them to cause elbow pain! We are going back to a new bucket of green dot balls. Softer for easier play and less vibrations. Definitely recommend these Gamma balls.

ok – so as usual – i can’t buy anything without going to at least 10 diff places to price compare. the usual for something like tennis balls – sports authority, dicks sporting goods and various – tennis online places. Using the amazon price as my base price. the other places were more, some much more. then i saw these green gamma balls at walmart.com. and the price was like $10 cheaper. i was so excited and was just about to order. but i looked closer at the picture – and they are not the same balls as these. initially i thought that the balls were color specific. so if i get gamma green colored balls – they must be it. but it is not. there are other type of gamma green colored balls that are not the 78 balls. just be warned- so you don’t almost make the mistake i was gonna make. the balls arrived pretty quick. husband is using them with my son. they are functioning well. amazon does have the best price on these balls. trust me – i looked

These are awesome for kids just learning tennis. We started with the Red/yellow balls and worked our way up to these which are a bit faster and bounce a little higher. While these are still much better than normal tennis balls, they move a lot faster than the red/yellow balls and take awhile to get accustomed to.

When kids are learning to play, the coach (which I am) need to use lots of balls (with hoppers) for continuity. The bag of 60 balls is a near perfect fit for most hopper baskets.
