The main body of this hopper is plastic, which seems a little warped from either manufacturing or shipping. The screws that hold it together keep it pretty solid, and the leg swinging “mechanism” also seems very solid. I worry that over time the plastic will wear versus the metal cage hoppers that are more commonplace. So far it is great though, holds plenty to satisfy your serving practice needs. The ball “retrieving” feature of this works very well.

I love the legs/ stand arms

We purchased this ball hopper to use for days when the girls want to play tennis at the high school courts. It’s light weight, but strong. The plastic bucket makes it much easier to pick up the balls, with out banging your shins on a metal ball hopper basket. I love the legs/ stand arms. They make the basket just the right height for pulling balls out to feed. A very good product for any tennis family.

Well made and light weight.

I have used a metal one for so long. Because of the shape (smaller on the base than the opening), it constant fell over in the car. The handles didn’t always stay closed and I found it cumbersome to pick up balls.

Worth the investment!

This thing works great. I have a 10 year old who is just starting to play tennis and this makes all the difference for me to work with him. It picks up balls easily and was very easy to assemble. It also converts easily from pickup to dispensing. My only regret is that I should have gotten the one with wheels. It’s pretty heavy when full and kind of cumbersome for my son to carry.

Ok ok

Amazing .. this product is excellent. It was a little bit tough to understand how to mount the metal handles because the right installation is the opposite of what it seems at first glance and also the picture on the manual is not so self explaining..

Seems great. I’m using it with those large red and yellow kids balls. They cycle through bottom easily. I jut put it together and it was easy. It stands up well as a stand. I’m happy with product so far.

My old metal wire ballport fell apart after 10 years of use, Then I bought this one after reading the reviews. It takes 30min to put it together because the plastic panels are not perfect flat.

I have purchased two Gamma hoppers. One was a holder of 50 and the other for 140. This Pete Sampras endorsed ball carrier claims to hold 80 balls. However, I find that 72 fit with maybe room for about 3 more. 80 would fit if you placed them in perfectly, so I would say 70 to 75 balls should fit. This ball carrier is incredibly light compared to both gamma holders.

Light, easily assembled,

Nice light ball carrier. The only thing I wish was that it was a little easier to control the balls when pouring them out of the top. I pour them into a ball machine and they often fall off to the side because the ridge along the top end will hold the balls in until it’s at a sufficient angle to get them to come out. I can’t say that any other ball carriers do much better…so I’m very satisfied with it.
