You Can’t Beat it for $21

I read all the reviews and since the worst thing I read was that it might benefit from a couple zip ties, I decided to give it a look and see what kind of a deal this way. Well it turns out, it’s quite the deal. I can see where people feel that the construction, as in the nuts and washers that are included, can lead to it falling apart from loosening itself. After I assembled this unit, which took 5 mins if that, it was tight and quite nice. However as a pre-caution, and only a pre-caution, I decided to zip tie the (only) 4 corners that matter in assembly. I’ve uploaded a couple pictures so you can see what I mean.

The Wilson BP 75 has been great. I’ve used it a dozen times since receiving it and I’ve been pleased with it’s performance and plan on using it until it breaks assuming that happens any time in near future. Per some of the other reviews on this product, I used thread locking fluid on the nuts that secure the frame’s shape. I also used the small washers provided (8 total, so 2 per nut) and they assisted in creating a very secure fit. I was contemplating using zip-ties, but those would have done nothing additional to support the connections of the frame, so I opted from using them and so far no issues.

Quick, Easy Pickup – Great Carrying Basket

Well-designed, and dual purpose:

Maybe worth 4 stars

I’m not sure how to rate this. Assembly is easy. They work and they are convenient. I’ve owned this for several months and used it many times over the summer, though we are really only recreational players. However, the legs that swing up and down came loose. It wasn’t a huge deal; the basket never dropped. I resolved the problem easily enough by putting the large rubber bands that come on asparagus down over the legs near the junction with the basket. This pickup was one of the cheapest available when I purchased it, and so perhaps there is some element of you get what you pay for. Yet I’ve never used other ones and so the leg issue might be a common problem. Furthermore, the problem I had hasn’t really bothered me, and in fact I purchased a second one (to which I also had to add rubber bands). If your needs are like ours, and you like the price, maybe that is more of a 4 star item.

Good for the price, and if you don’t play a lot of tennis

For $18 this is a bargain. I am happy with the sturdiness of the metal. However, it is very hard to pop the legs in locking slots when using the unit as a stand. One time as I was struggling with it, the whole thing came crashing down and balls spilled out all over. Also, the leg ends have popped out of the tube mounted on the case each time I have used it. I am not going to return it though because it does the job and I don’t play tennis all the time.

The legs are hard to lock into the prop-up position

I bought this one after my previous ball hopper broke. This replacement is reasonably priced, but you got what you paid for. For me the major drawback is that to lock the legs into the prop-up position, you have to push them pretty hard into those locking tabs–I have to put them down on their side on the ground and use both hands to push them in.

Great for the price.

This product is excellent for anyone just getting into the game of tennis. For the price range, this hopper is a great option compared to what you’ll find in most sporting good stores. I’ve seen some reviews say it isn’t very durable, but I’ve been using mine for several months now without issue. It sits in the trunk of my car and I only bring it out when I’m using it.

Works Well!

Some other reviews say this is not a good hopper, but what can you really expect for around $20? It works. I am not nice to it. I toss it in my trunk and pretty much manhandle it. No screws have popped out, nothing weird happened. Sometimes the top pops open in my trunk and a couple of balls fall out…
